Community Orchard Days
Curious about Peterborough’s Community Orchards? 🍎🍏
Orchard stewards have been busy all summer long attending to the watering and pest control needs at the community orchards. Now it is time to ready the orchards for the winter and we would welcome a few extra helping hands with things like weeding, watering and protecting the young trees and bushes from hungry bunnies!
October 16th times and locations are listed below.
- October 16th, 10:30 AM — Maple Ridge Park (1929 Mapleridge Dr, Peterborough, ON K9K 1R1)
- October 16, 11:30 AM — Community Orchard at Keith Wightman Park
- October 16, 1:00 PM — Community Orchard at the Talwood Community Garden behind 1001 Talwood Dr. apartment building
Please mark which work bees you hope to attend on the registration page here: https://forms.gle/RoKrHrhuvWAsvuF69
When attending, please bring along your water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for gardening type work. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
We look forward to working with you to ready the trees for winter. Thanks for your help!
