Ecology Park Opening Day 2026
Join us as we open Ecology Park for the 2026 season! Celebrate the arrival of spring with a visit to our five-acre urban green space, explore the nursery, and connect with nature in the heart of the city.
Whether you’re a longtime supporter or visiting for the first time, Opening Day is a great opportunity to see what’s growing and get inspired for the season ahead.
This year there will be fun for the whole family. Join us Saturday, May 16 from 10 to 4 and enjoy:
💚 Community engagement tables (including volunteer opportunities)
🧸 Children’s activities
🎵 Live music with Newberry Enterprises
Available for purchase:
🌱 Over 150 species of native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees!
💧 Rain barrels
🎁 Reloadable gift cards
And as always, the Peterborough & Area Master Gardeners will be on hand to provide advice on native plant selection and other horticultural best practices.
Ecology Park is located at 1899 Ashburnham Drive. Please park at Beavermead, then enjoy a short walk down the Trans Canada Trail to reach the nursery.
All sales support GreenUP’s non profit programming.
