Discover how you can help fight climate change and reduce waste by learning practical repair skills at the Fix It, Don’t Trash It workshop!

Inspired by the Peterborough Repair Café, this hands-on event teaches you how to bring new life to broken items instead of throwing them away. Whether it’s a torn shirt, a broken gadget, or a household item that needs a fix, you’ll learn to repair, reuse, and upcycle—keeping waste out of landfills while making a real impact on the environment.

Build your climate action knowledge and add more leadership skills to your Resume! Receive a certificate when you complete 4 of our 6 workshops!

If you are female-identifying, two-spirit, or gender-diverse youth passionate about climate leadership between the ages of 13 to 18 years old, join other eco-conscious teens in this fun, collaborative workshop where you’ll not only fix items but also discover how small actions can have a big impact on the fight against climate change. Let’s break the cycle of waste—one repair at a time!

Bring along 2-3 broken items and get ready to repair, restore, and make a difference!

We can help you:

• sew buttons on clothing
• repair small appliances
• glue a handle on your favourite mug
• rewire a lamp
• darn a hole in socks

Dinner will be provided at no cost.
