How to Garden with Grasses and Sedges Workshop

August 17, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$15

Learn how to GramUP your garden with grasses and sedges (also known as graminoids) at this interactive workshop led by Hayley Goodchild, landscape designer and coordinator of native plant propagation at GreenUP Ecology Park.

We’ll discuss:

  • Why all pollinator gardens need grass;
  • The problem with planting Miscanthus (and other invasive grasses);
  • How to select the right grasses and sedges for different conditions;
  • Design strategies to integrate graminoids into new and existing gardens.

The workshop will begin with an illustrated presentation, followed by some hands on-learning in Ecology Park’s very own gardens!

Sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/how-to-garden-with-grasses-and-sedges-registration-952808474797

The workshop is $15 per person. All participants will receive a 10% discount on plants purchased after the workshop.
