Migratory Bird Day in Peterborough

May 11 is World Migratory Bird Day, and Peterborough is ready to jump into action to protect our wild birds for future generations!
Join #GreenUP, Bird Friendly Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes (@birdfriendlyptbokl), Kawartha Wildlife Centre (@kawarthawildlifecentre) and Kawartha Bird Control (@kawarthabirdcontrol) on May 11 from 11-1pm at the GreenUP Store & Resource Centre for an afternoon of activity. We’re excited to showcase and celebrate our fluffy, feathery and downy friends who are at risk of mortality due to window collisions, habitat loss and climate change during migration season.
Join us for:
🐦 GreenUP’s Bird-Friendly Window Installation Reveal (@birdfriendlyptbokl)
🐦 Family-friendly bird-friendly window collision tape workshop
🐦 Live bird of prey demonstration from @kawarthabirdcontrol
🐦 Free Bird-Friendly coffee samples (@birdsandbeanscoffee)
🐦 Bird friendly gardening tips from the Store & Resource Centre & Ecology Park
🐦 …and more!
