Join GreenUP for the final Restoration Wednesday of 2026! Together we will be planting 150 native trees and shrubs to replace the invasive buckthorn removed from the woodland at GreenUP Ecology Park this season.

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty!

What to Bring:
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes
Long pants & sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
Rain coat (weather dependent)
Water bottle
Lunch and snacks

Accessibility & Weather:
We aim to make these events flexible and inclusive. Tasks will involve bending, kneeling, digging, and walking on uneven terrain. If you are unsure about your capacity, let us know; we’ll find a way for you to contribute meaningfully! In heavy rain, we will switch to sheltered tasks. If you have accessibility needs or concerns, please get in touch with us in advance. We have an accessible washroom. However, only some areas of the Park are fully accessible to mobility device users.

Perks for Volunteers:
Learn hands-on ecological restoration skills.
Meet great people and engage with your community.
