Trans Canada Trail Fall Plantings
Help GreenUP plant native trees, shrubs, and perennials along the Trans Canada Trail in Ecology Park!
GreenUP has partnered with friends at the Trans Canada Trail to enhance the urban forest throughout Ecology Park. Register to join us Wednesday October 15th and Sunday October 26th to plant more than 150 native trees, shrubs, and perennials along and adjacent to the trail.
There are three time slots available:
- Wednesday, October 15th from 2-4 pm
- Wednesday, October 15th from 4-6 pm
- Sunday, October 26th from 11am-3pm
On October 15th, we will plant an initial 25 to 30 trees and shrubs, with a focus on plants for GreenUP’s new food forest adjacent to the Trans Canada Trail. If time allows, we will continue preparations for the larger tree planting event on Sunday, Oct. 26th.
