Grow a Tree with GreenUP
Last fall, our One Book, One Peterborough author, Diana Beresford-Kroeger, challenged each of us to plant six trees to help restore the local canopy, and we’re rising to that challenge. This Earth Month, we invite you to take action by planting a seed or seedling that you can pick up for free at the Peterborough Public Library.
Drop in to learn about native tree species, select your tree-to-be, and consult with GreenUP on how to best care for your tree as it grows.

“There is no such thing as a hopeless situation… Positive action, no matter how small, builds towards your bigger goals.”
— Diana Beresford-Kroeger, To Speak for the Trees
This program is offered in partnership with GreenUP and the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough.
