Volunteer Stewardship Series: Restoration Wednesdays
Join us for Restoration Wednesdays at GreenUP Ecology Park! This five-part series offers an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful outdoor work, learn about native plants and invasive species, and connect with like-minded community members.
We will focus on a new project or skill each week, from learning to ID and manage invasive species, to planting, mulching, and weeding gardens and natural areas in the Park. Please note that activities may be adjusted depending on weather and other factors.
- September 3: Tree-Planting Preparation
- September 10: Buckthorn Removal and Re-naturalization
- September 17: Landscape Contouring & Erosion Control
- September 24: Garden care & Plant Propagation
- October 1: Tree-Planting Preparation
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty!
