At GreenUP, we recognize neighbourly connections are important not only to vibrant communities but also to climate action. Neighbours working together can transform communities for the better. GreenUP’s NeighbourHOOD program helps facilitate these connections and support vibrant, inclusive, resilient communities.

Currently, GreenUP’s NeighbourHOOD program is focused on connecting residents, bringing visions and action plans to life, and supporting residents through green initiatives such as fruit growing and salad club. Later this fall, we will be hosting a series of Community Conversations – stay tuned for more details.

From 2016-2020, GreenUP had the pleasure of connecting with six neighbourhoods across the City and County of Peterborough through the NeighbourPLAN and Sustainable Urban Neighbourhood (SUN) programs:

Kawartha Heights, Jackson Park-Brookdale, Downtown Jackson Creek, East City-Curtis Creek, Talwood, and the Hamlet of Warsaw. You can find resources from these projects below.

We continue to work within these neighbourhoods and hope to grow to include other neighbourhoods in the future.

We look forward to working with you to create new resources and connections in the years ahead.

Please subscribe to our NeighbourHOODs e-newsletter (email and join us on a journey of learning, celebrating, and taking action in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough neighbourhoods!
