NeighbourPLAN Program
The NeighbourPLAN program used a collaborative process, known as co-design, to support three Peterborough/Nogojiwanong neighbourhoods in reimagining public space in their neighbourhoods.
Through the NeighbourPLAN program, we connected with over 1,000 residents, listening to stories about how the design of public space in their neighbourhoods impacts their daily lives. The stories we heard emphasized the varied and deeply personal experiences that residents have with the built environment, and drew attention to the small design features that can have a significant impact.
With each neighbourhood we developed a Portrait and Vision Document – tools to help residents advocate for change, and information we hope will be used by the municipality and community partners to inform future projects.
