Tall Sunflower

This perennial sunflower is true to its name, growing 8-10 feet tall. In late summer, it produces masses of 3” yellow blossoms. When its seeds are ripe, chickadees and goldfinches love to feast on the harvest. Full sun and well-drained soil.

Height: 4-10 feet

Sun Requirements: Prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade

Water Requirements: Prefers well drained moist soils

Flowers: Larger yellow sunflowers in July to October

Attracts: Birds, bees, butterflies

Special Tolerances: An erosion control species
