Ostrich Fern

This is the “fiddle-head” fern, whose early spring fronds make a tasty snack. Ostrich fern can grow to 5’ in height, and spread rather aggressively once established.

Enjoys partial shade and moist soils.

Height: 4-5 feet

Sun Requirements: Full shade to part shade

Water Requirements: Prefers moist humus rich soils will will tolerate normal soils

Special Tolerances: An erosion control species
