Count Week 2026
Students and GreenUP volunteers will conduct two-hour counts of pedestrians and cyclists at 24 locations throughout Peterborough as part of Count Week 2026. The data gathered will provide crucial insights into people’s active transportation use as we work toward more pedestrian- and bike-friendly streets.
Choose from two count shifts on Tuesday, September 29:
COUNT SHIFT 1:
10 a.m.: Join other volunteers for snacks, coffee and conversation at GreenUP (378 Aylmer St). You’ll get a quick orientation and choose your count location, then head out to do your count.
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Conduct your count at your location. You can count solo, bring a friend, or pair up with another volunteer.
COUNT SHIFT 2:
2 p.m.: Join other volunteers for snacks, coffee and conversation at GreenUP (378 Aylmer St). You’ll get a quick orientation and choose your count location, then head out to do your count.
3 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Conduct your count at your location. You can count solo, bring a friend, or pair up with another volunteer.
