Silver Maple

Silver Maple is a hardy, fast growing tree that is often found along waterways. The deeply notched leaves allow beautiful diffused sunlight to filter through and dance about in the slightest breeze. It needs full sun, and can tolerate a wide range of soil and moisture conditions. One of Peterborough’s largest tree specimens and the inspiration of Alexander Muir’s “The Maple Leaf Forever”
