The scarlet blossoms of this beautiful bergamot are a real favourite with hummingbirds. A stunning plant in June/July, it likes to be moved to a new location every few years. Crushed leaves were said to sooth bee stings.

Height: 2-5 feet

Sun Requirements: Full sun to part shade

Water Requirements: Normal to moist humus rich soils

Flowers: Deep red flowers June to August

Attracts: A hummingbird favorite, also attracts bees, butterflies and other interesting insects

Special Tolerances: Juglones/Walnuts
