An attractive native willow that typically grows 8-10′ tall. Excellent for stabilizing eroding shorelines. Fast-growing it is capable or tolerating heavy clay and rocky soils, making it highly adaptable and durable.

Sun Requirements: Full sun to part shade

Water Requirements: Prefers moist wet shoreline soils

Flowers: Plain white/brown flowers April/May

Attracts: Birds, butterflies

Important Butterfly Larval Host

Special Tolerances: Handles compact soils and is an erosion control species
