This is an excellent grass for shorelines, as it has an extensive root system that helps prevent shoreline erosion. Prairie Cordgrass has long, reed-like leaves that grow 4-7’ tall. Full sun; dry or damp soil.

Water Requirements: Normal to wet conditions

Wildlife: Utilized by small animals and birds

Special Tolerances: Salt tolerant and an erosion control species
